Kojgysto bows out in 14th cashing $400,000!
In an amazing show of stamina and cool, Kojgysto hung on to the back of the pack through day 5, marched through day 6 and came ever so close to ultimate poker fame by being eliminated in 14th place tonight on day seven – five places off the final table of the century. As a comfort, he picked up over $400,000 and a ton of bragging rights.
So look out for this guy the next time you play on Scandic Bookmakers.
Behind Kojgysto, LeSobek made himself and Winamax proud by finishing just outside the top 100 while Haibomi proudly held his Mansion.com banner to a position just inside the top 200 – an accomplishment worth roughly $38,000.
July 12th, 20083 Ongame players make it to day 5
As the smoke cleared after day 4, three Ongame players were still left in the tournament.
We also have Kojgysto out of Denmark, with 277,000 chips; the biggest chip stack of the Ongame players. He can be found at table 31 at the Blue section of the Amazon poker room. Kojgysto represents ScandicBookmakers.
We have LeSobek out of Paris, France, who starts day 5 with 207,000 chips. He can be found at table 8 at the Green section. LeSobek represents Winamax.
And last we have Haibomi, representing Mansion, who starts day 5 with 100,000 chips. He can be found at table 21 in the Blue section.
Congratulations also to our cash winners:
Winamax player ManuB finished in 221st place, receiving $38,600.
Mansion player ev0r came in 267th, receiving $35,383.
July 12th, 2008LeSobek wins monster pot.
Our french Ongame player LeSobek won a $690,000 pot after his A♥K♣ held up against Peter Traply’s K♥Q♦.
It was a very nice pot, which contained $250,000 in dead money since Traply’s $500,000 reraise forced several opponents to fold.
July 12th, 2008Day 4 is ready to hit the felt.
The remaining players are now ready to hit the felt for day 4 of the World Series of Poker Main Event. We have five Ongame players left in the tournament, competing against 469 other players for the $9,100,000 first prize. This is how the Ongame starting field looks:

Day 3 finished – 474 players remaining
The action definitley heated up during day 3 of the World Series of Poker Main Event, as the field was cut from 1307 down to 474 players. Our Ongame players performed well; five out of eleven players survived to day 4, with several solid chip stacks among them. Congratulations also to Mansion player 2runners2me, who was our first in-the-money finisher. He finished in 537th place, receiving $25,090 for his efforts. Well done

Day 3 of the WSOP main event has begun, with 11 out of 1307 players representing Ongame partners. Our players are getting close to the cash now – 666 places are paid out, so they just need to survive another halving of the field. Best of luck to those below! (Why do they insist on calling it luck…?

Day 2B underway
Day 2B has started, with plenty of Ongame action to be expected. Hopefully our players in this day will perform as well as those who played in day 2A. Notable is that the starting field for this day contains more than 2,300 players, so we can expect a more packed event than the previous day. We can also inform you that last year’s champion, Jerry Yang, has been eliminated and will not be able to join Johnny Moss, Stu Ungar and Johnny Chan as the elite group who has won the WSOP main event two years in a row.

A solid day for the Ongamers
Another day of the WSOP main event has come to an end, and once again the Ongame players displayed a better than average performance with 7 out of 13 players remaining. The average chip stack is 101,000, so as you can see six of our remaining players will enter day 3 of the tournament with solid chip stacks.

Day 2A ready to hit the felt.
We are starting day 2A with 13 Ongame in the field, battling for a total prize pool of more than $68 million. Since day 1D attracted over 2,000 players all fears that this year’s WSOP would be smaller than that of 2007 have been stilled; the 2008 main event attracted a total of 6,884 players. This put the first prize at a massive $9,1 million. We pray that one of the nicks listed below claims it.

100% success rate on day 1d
We only had three measly players on our radar for day 1d, but they all came through and made it to day two. Busting WSOP bracelet winner Phil Tom on his way to an early dominating stack, rfluid of HollywoodPoker is in the best shape of the three ending the day with 62,575. Ant456 amassed 31,000 on behalf of poker.gr and Kojgysto joined the other three qualified ScandicBookmakers who’ve already made it through. He has some work ahead of him though if he is to build something out of the 13,000 in chips he had when the the final bell rang on day 1d.
Tomorrow at noon the players that made it through on day 1b will continue their bid for the WSOP Main Event bracelet. And we’ll be there documenting their progress.
July 6th, 2008Three out of two thousand
Worries about the total size of the this year’s main event field falling short of estimates were somewhat calmed today as over 2,000 players have shown up for the last day of day one play. Of these, we are interested in… three.
Quite a needle-in-a-heystack situation but we will do our best to cheer on Scandic Bookmakers fourth representative in this year’s main event, KojGysto and also have hopes that Poker.gr player ant546 can repeat the feat of fellow Greek and poker.gr player crf88 who cashed in the $5,000 NL Hold’em event earlier.
Lastly we’ve learned that rfluid of HollywoodPoker who managed to win both a Side Events package and a Main Event one on HollywoodPoker has opted to switch from his initial assignment of 1b to today.
Another good day in the Amazon…
When the smoke cleared in the Amazon Room at the Rio after day 1c of the World Series of Poker Main Event concluded, there were good news to be found. Looking solid all day, Eurobet player Gimmemonies lead the pack of survivors having amassed over 94,000 over in his desolate corner of the room. In his wake is a trio of mansion.com sponsored players – kevinzwsop05 (70,350),
Winamax sported a strong line-up that saw qualifiers samkilla and xavier3131 go through to day two along with superstar Arnaud Mattern who managed to make it into six figure territory.
All-in-all, 12 players will continue their bid for the title on Wednesday, while the thirteen that made it through yesterday will head back into action on Tuesday.

Stage set for Day 1c
So today we go through yesterday’s motions all over again. Hopefully with even more limelight shining on the players on our target roster. There has been a some very deep concerns raised that the main event will fall way short of estimates in terms of entrants. The discussion is fierce as to why this may be. But regardless of that, the following players have shown up and are ready to reign supreme – and hopefully also to smile at the camera.

Crowded island
The list of survivors from day 1b is deliciously long. Leading the pack is Paf:s nobba8 and mansion.com player Haibomi who ended the day with more than 75,000 and 95,000 respectively. Both Mansion.com player callerconny and Winamax qualifier LeSobek are also off to flying starts having amassed about 50,000 each. Flying betsson colours, Donofthedons heads into day two with twice the amount he started with while Scandic Bookmakers players tud73 and Stor81 have slightly more than that going in to day two.

Snapshots from the floor…
The range of emotions found amongst players as they battle to stay alive throughout day one is as wide as the range of clothing sponsored players elect to wear. From a style perspective a lot of companies have certainly upped the ante. Gone are the one size fits all and in are the classy shirts and the casual fashion gear and cool caps.
Main Event underway
The big show has taken over the Amazon room at the Rio. But since day 1a featured not a single player of interest to us, we decided to save up for today.

two players cash in the $1,500 NL Holdem Event
After most of the smoke settled over the chaos that is #49 both mansion.com player .theGatherer and chickhabit54 representing TowerGaming walked off with substantial checks. .theGatherer added more than $10,000 to $2,500 he won in the first of the three events he won entry into by bagging a WSOP Side Events package on mansion.com. Chickhabit54, who managed the same feat on Towergaming, also left his best performance for last and walked away with roughly $8,000. Both players bested more than 2,000 players in what is one of the most crowded WSOP preliminary events in history.
June 29th, 2008.theGatherer sneaks under the radar
It seems we missed out on reporting a solid performace in the $1,500 pot limit Omaha hi/lo event the other day.
Keeping a low profile, mansion.com player .theGatherer hang on long enough in that event to cash out approximately $2,500. Good going.
How did we realize this mistake then? By .theGatherer delivering the goods again today in the $1,500 NL Holdem event.
With one fourth of the massive field of 2,200 or so participants still remaining .theGatherer is in good shape to make it two out of three cashes.
We caught him as his table was broken an raised the camera in triumph, relieved that we’d be able to repent our mistake … but… the battery died. And off went .theGatherer…
A media bad beat of the worstest kind. Our hopes is now that he’ll hang in there until (a) we can spot him again and (b) have reloaded the camera.
June 28th, 2008twenty five thousand reasons to play at mansion.com
Although it is always frustrating to bust out so close to the limelight of a final table, we think mansion.com player Saage will be quite happy with his performance today once that dissapointment settles. Nursing his short-stack for hours upon hours eventually earned him just over $25,000 and a top 25 position. Not bad for a $300 buy-in into the WSOP Side Events qualifier at Mansion.com.
And at least Saage will now be able to get enough sleep to be good to go again tomorrow as he attempts to repeat today’s success in tomorrow’s $1,500 NL Holdem event.
And so too will we.
Saage proudly flying Mansion.com colours
Showing excellent composure and not letting a hopefully temporary short-stack rattle him, Saage is still in with a shot as we are down to 30 players in the $5,000 shorthanded event.
Hopefully he’ll have trouble playing the $1,500 event tomorrow that he’s also won entry into by securing a WSOP Side Events package on mansion.com, thanks to having to focus on the $5,000 final table….

Poker.gr player Crf88 kneels to kings
After a stunning display on day two which included quite a roller coaster ride and some dramatic hands, poker.gr player crf88 is out cashing for more than $15,000. Pushing all-in crf88 ran into kings and not even the full might of the greek gods could help him. But as a winner of a WSOP Side Event package on poker.gr he has yet another $1,5000 bracelet tournament to play tomorrow. And he can enter that one with a $15,000 smile on his face.
BradPitt_ ousted early
Unfortunately Betsson player BradPitt_ ran into aces early on on day two and was eliminated short of the money in the $5,000 NL Holdem Shorthanded event.
June 27th, 2008Result of Day 1 of #46 – $5,000 NL Holdem Shorthanded
As expected this event brought out most of the North American poker elite – but that didn’t stop crf88 representing Poker.gr, Saage representing Mansion.com or BradPitt_ representing Betsson from outlasting more than 700 players and making it into day 2.
With 98 players remaning and payouts awarded to the top 78, BradPitt_ has his worked cut out for him to hang on into the money. The other two however are not in dire ship need – both residing in the top 15 at the end of day one.
crf88 got slightly unlucky when seats were drawn for day 2, while the other two both drew excellent seats.
Pictures and more updates to follow during the day.
June 27th, 2008First cash
The first of the three events that players who won Side Event packages got to take part in was the $1,500 pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo event which went underway this Tuesday. Although Pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo offers a real challenge to most players, one quickly made his mark – BestPoker.com’s piggypop.
The guy who won two side events packages over the course of the WSOP program satellites survived day one and kept making progress on day two. He ended up busting just inside the top 50 out of 720 entrants and cashed for more than $3,000.
The next event, the $5,000 No Limit short-handed event commences tomorrow.
