Blinds up…

The first hour of play has now passed, and amazingly…not one player has yet to be eliminated! It’s all rather sombre in the tournament area, with no raised voices heard or crazy antics of any sort having developed yet.

Interesting seating arrangements for a few of our Partners’ players. Martin Iversen of bwin and Iisakki Ahonene of Eurobet over on table 12 have to play alongside the Polish PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki, notably known for his great 3rd place finish in the £5k EPT London Main Event in October last year, collecting over half a million dollars for his troubles. Also on table 12 is Swedens retired professional footballer, Hans Eskilsson. The Swede is no stranger to the EPT with having already cashed in 5 events.

Bet24′s Stefan Raffay, has the honour of sitting next to Norways “Godfather of Poker”, Thor Hansen. The list of wins Hansen has under his belt is endless. However, as I strolled past Stefan’s table, I did see him take around a 5k pot off Hansen thanks to his nut flush on the flop.

PAF’s Jukka Seppänen also has an interesting seat draw. On table 8 sits Italian PokerStar Pro Luca Pagano (cashed 9 times in EPT’s and 3 times in WSOP’s) and 2008 EPT Warsaw winner, Joao Barbosa. Very interesting table indeed!
