Held og lykke…og farval!
For our Partners and their players, the PokerStars.com EPT Copenhagen quest for glory has ended.
We had 20 players representing 8 different Partners this week. There were EPT virgins, EPT veterans…and three EPT in the money finishes! In 40th position, RedKings player Toni Ojala took home €8,929. Jaakko Lauttamus of PAF finished in 26th place and took home €11,906. Rounding up a good 3 days work, Ramzi Jelassi of RedKings took home €16,371 for finishing in 19th.
It’s been a great ride since Day 1A with some memorable hands played by some of our Partners players. Heypoker’s Mattias Johansson’s great bluff on Day 2 was a nice memory, as was Toni Ojala’s very important double up very late on during Day 3 to get him to the money. Not to be all “doom and gloom”, watching Bestpoker’s Leo Bello’s Pocket Rockets getting cracked by a runner runner flush is something I didn’t need to see. Likewise with the harsh exit of RedKings player Ramzi Jelassi. At one point earlier today, I was sure Ramzi was going to make it to the final table…
The final table is close approaching with 9 players fighting it out for the honour of showing up tomorrow. It could take a while, as nobody wants to be eliminated now! Even though it hasn’t happened yet..I already feel the pain of the 9th place finisher!
Copenhagen has been covered in snow all week and it doesn’t exactly have the same weather as the Bahamas, but it’s been a great event in a great European destination…and there’s been great poker played throughout!
