Oh the horror…
The lone player remaining from our Partner is now trying to reclaim the mountain of chips he had not so long ago.
On the button, Ramzi Jelassi of RedKings gets his chips into the middle of the table. Jonas Klausen (11th place finisher in EPT Barcelona) calls the 72,5k all in and the cards hit their backs. Ramzi shows K♦ Q♣ against the Dane’s 9♥ T♥ . The Swede is out in front. Time for the flop Q♥ 9♦ K♣ . It’s a good flop for the RedKings player as he hits top two. It’s all smiles from the charismatic Swede. The dealer pulls out the turn 9♣ . The tournament area groans and almost every expression on anyone watching, changes to one of discomfort. It was all going so well. The smiles begin to disappear and reality takes a swipe at everyone following Ramzi. The Danish player has hit a lucky, lucky turn, and now Ramzi has just 4 outs to stay in the PokerStars.com EPT Copenhagen. The river has to be a King or a Queen. I almost can’t watch! Rubbing salt into the wounds, the river comes T♠ to give the Jonas Klausen a full house. Ramzi has been “felted” (when a player has no chips left in front of them, and only the bare felt remains) and heads towards the rail. Your blogger has a sour taste in his mouth from this hand.
He does leave with €16,371 though. Many will think it should have been more…I’m one of them!
