Tournament server bug causing multi-accounting problem

November 12th, 2008

After a recent update of our tournament servers we discovered a bug that temporarily caused our security block that prevents players participating from the same IP in tournaments to not function properly on some tournaments. The problem was swiftly resolved as soon it was detected but unfortunately this bug had already affected a limited amount of our multi-table tournaments.

Ongame Network take full responsibility for the occurrence and we are currently conducting a full investigation to determine the total number of affected tournaments and any specific cases of multi-accounting that took place during this limited period.

All identified multi-accounting cases will be handled on a case by case basis, where possible players who were adversely affected will be compensated by a re-distribution of prize money. Those players who are determined to have used multi-accounting to their advantage will be dealt with according to the policies stated in our Terms and Conditions.

Ongame Network deeply apologizes for this situation and any inconvenience it has caused.
